Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 August 2026
Who these terms are with
These terms apply to mobile car detailing booked through this website from White Glove Home & Auto, operating as White Glove Auto Detailing (“White Glove”, “we”). White Glove is your point of contact for pricing, booking, payment, support, quality, and anything that needs putting right.
Booking
You choose an appointment start time and the appointment is confirmed. Payment is due after the service, so nothing is collected at this point. Appointments can be booked from 24 hours to 14 days ahead, and the times we offer already account for how long your vehicle and package need.
Appointment times
The time you book is the time your detailer starts. We hold travel and set-up time between appointments so that start time can be met, and those internal margins are never charged to you or presented as a window you have to wait inside. If something unforeseen delays us, we will contact you directly rather than leave you waiting.
Payment
Payment is due after the detail is complete and you have had an opportunity to inspect the vehicle. Pay by cash, Interac e-Transfer, or debit/credit card by tap. Card payments are taken on Square; we never see or store your card number. The amount is the same whichever method you use — we do not add a card surcharge, processing charge or service fee. If the finished work isn’t right, tell us before you pay and we will put it right first. Prices shown in Canadian dollars.
Rescheduling and cancellations
You can reschedule or cancel free of charge with at least 48 hours’ notice, and because nothing was paid up front there is nothing to refund or forfeit. Shorter notice is still better than none — tell us and we’ll move you.
Missed appointments
If a detailer travels to the address at the agreed time and cannot reach you or access the vehicle, we will try to contact you before recording the appointment as missed. A missed appointment costs us the travel and the hours that were held for you and could not be resold. After one recorded missed appointment, your next booking will ask for a 25% deposit before the time is held; that deposit is applied in full toward that appointment’s total, and the rest is still paid after the work. If you believe an appointment was recorded as missed in error, contact us and we’ll look into it.
Weather
Mobile detailing happens outdoors. If conditions won’t let us do the job to our standard — or would make it unsafe — we’ll move you to the next available appointment at no charge. Nothing has been paid at that point, so there is nothing to transfer or refund.
Water, power, and where we can work
A mobile detail needs an outdoor water source and a standard electrical outlet within reach of the vehicle, and a safe, legal place to work. If you’re booking at a condo, apartment, office, or shared lot, confirming that mobile detailing is permitted there is your responsibility. You’ll be asked about all three at checkout. If any of them turns out to be missing, we’ll contact you before the appointment to agree a plan, reschedule, or cancel it at no cost to you. We can’t promise every booking can be accommodated, and we won’t work somewhere we’re not permitted to.
Vehicle access and keys
Please have the vehicle parked where we’ll be working and accessible at the start of your window — unlocked, or with keys handed over or left as arranged in your booking notes. We move a vehicle only when you’ve asked us to. If we can’t access it, we’ll try to reach you before rescheduling.
Your belongings
Please remove valuables and personal belongings before your appointment — cash, electronics, documents, garage remotes, and anything else you’d rather handle yourself. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle. Anything we find is left in the vehicle for you; we don’t remove or store personal property.
Child seats
We clean around a fitted child seat rather than uninstalling it. If you want the area underneath detailed, remove and reinstall the seat yourself — we don’t remove or refit child restraints, because a seat we didn’t install correctly is a safety risk we won’t take on.
Existing vehicle condition
Detailing reveals wear as often as it removes dirt. Pre-existing damage — stone chips, swirls, oxidation, cracked or brittle trim, worn or torn upholstery, previous poor repairs, aftermarket wraps and films, and stains that have permanently dyed a surface — may be more visible after a detail, and some of it cannot be corrected by cleaning. Your detailer photographs the vehicle before starting, and we’ll flag anything we notice. We’re responsible for damage we cause, not for the condition we find.
Add-ons and excessive or hazardous conditions
Pet hair, set-in stains, and lingering odours have flat-priced add-ons you select when you book, and we price the work from the vehicle and package you describe to us. If the vehicle is materially worse than described, we will contact you and either reprice with your written approval, reschedule, or cancel at no cost to you — never a price change on the spot, and no work at a repriced figure begins until you have approved it. Biohazards, mould, pest infestation, bodily fluids, and comparable contamination fall outside our standard service: we may decline the job, and you wouldn’t be charged.
Photos of your vehicle
Your detailer photographs the vehicle before and after every appointment. Those photos are how we document the condition we found and the work delivered, and they’re shared with you. We will not publish a photo of your vehicle in our marketing without asking you first.
If something isn't right
Tell us within 48 hours of your appointment and we’ll return and put it right at no charge. If we still can’t, we’ll refund you. Contact White Glove directly — not the detailer who attended.
Reporting damage
If you believe we damaged your vehicle or property, tell us within 48 hours of the appointment, with photos where you can. We’ll compare them against the before-and-after photos taken on site and respond promptly. Reporting late makes a claim much harder to assess fairly, for both of us.
Who performs the work
Appointments are performed by White Glove or by authorized service providers engaged by White Glove. Either way, your agreement is with White Glove: we set the price, take the payment, and answer for the result.
